Sleeping Beauty Turquoise Nugget Ring

Sleeping Beauty Turquoise was originally discovered by Native Americans during the Anasazi period used for trade with the Central and South American Indigenous People. It has been a sacred stone for the Pueblo Bonito Native Americans who use it in ornamental jewelry and artwork. The rediscover of the mine emerge from miners searching for gold and copper, which brought on the demand for turquoise all around the world. Today this Arizona mine has reopened (after being closed for quite sometime) and is considered to be the most sought out in the world for its beautiful sky blue color and the more suitable stabilization of the stone (turquoise is a very soft stone that usually goes through a stabilizing process to make the stone more workable).
