Kunzite is a variety of spodumene, a pyroxene mineral that comes a range of colors. Kunzite occurs in shades of pink, lilac, violet, yellow, green, and brown. The color is determined by the amount of manganese is present in it. Kunzite, also like lepidolite, contains large quantities of lithium.
