Gateway of Dreams

In many ancient cultures gateways were portals into different realms, dimensions, or places like heaven. The idea of the gateway into the dream realm were seen where one could come in contact with angels, ancestors, spiritual archetypes and mystical creatures to obtain messages or wisdom for their waking state. Since the beginning of time many ancient cultures shared the belief that dreams are important aspect of being human. The dream-state holds a space outside of our everyday life and offers a gateway into a deeper understanding of ourselves, our connection to the world and everything in it. It was further believed that through the interpretation of our unconscious mind, within our dreams we could transcend to higher states of consciousness.

I used crystals that are purple, blue or white for assisting in a peaceful night’s sleep, with strengthen ability to dream. The energies of the crystals in this bowl will help you sleep soundly as you drift through the dream gate to a mystical land where those who await to meet you reside. The vessel for this melody bowl is a vintage and repurposed cobalt blue dessert dish.

What's in the Melody:

1. Selenite is a crystallized form of gypsum and this is the Satin Spar variety. Its name is derived from the Greek goddess Selene, the goddess of the moon. Selenite has a powerful vibration that yet is soothing and peaceful. It is popular for its cleansing, charging and protective energies. It purifies from negative energies, releasing anything lower vibration from a person, crystal, place and so on. It is connected to light, higher consciousness, angelic realms and the crown chakra.
